Prince William Chess Club was organized in 1985 by Dick Stableford and Dave Edelschick. Prince William Chess Club has reached out to chess enthusiasts from allover the Prince William County.

Mission Statement

Prince William Chess Club promotes the study and knowledge of the game of chess, as an art and enjoyment, but also as a means for the improvement of society.

It informs, educates, and fosters the development of players (professional and amateur) and potential players.

It encourages the development of a network of scholastic clubs devoted to enhancing the growth of chess and it promotes chess in Prince William County Schools.
